Birthday Mini Cards

Mini cards! That was my project for today.  I decided to do this set of three cute birthday mini cards.  I love this 3x3 size because they are so perfect to just tape to a package and you don't feel like you have to write a whole story inside the card!

The patterned paper I used is Basic Grey Blush collection, this one is called Admire.  It's really pretty and I thought perfect for these little cards.  I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Aren't those puffy little cupcakes adorable! I found these at Michael's and had to get them. They are by KI Memories  and they're called Puffies.  They have several different designs and really aren't that expensive.  I think I'll be going back for more of these in different themes.  They really just make the card.

The sentiments are stamps onto vellum and then attached to the cards.  I attached one with spray adhesive but honestly I hate working with that stuff.  It smells and it's messy and I just don't like dealing with it.  So the other two cards I just used some glue dots and put some bling over top of where they were on the card so you don't even know they are there! Ha!  The card with the little bow on the edge is the one I used the spray adhesive on.

So that's it for today.  I'm working on a few other card projects that I should have ready to post soon.  I'm thinking about trying to sell some things on Etsy but I'm not sure how I would do.  Have any of you sold on Etsy?  I'd love to hear your experiences with it!

A Must Do CASE

So I had already completed my entry for this week's CASE Study challenge, but after going through the blog hop, I got so many great ideas!  And there was one that really caught my eye that I just had to CASE now - Debby's beautiful notecards!  Click here to check out her post. Her cards were so stunning and would make such great gifts, I just knew I had to recreate them!  So here is what I came up with. (As always, click on the images for a larger view!)

The owl stamp is by Inkadinkado - so cute!

I used Martha Stewart pigment inks in Aquarium colors.

I added gems to match the color of the owl next to the sentiment.

Like Debby, I included envelopes and tied it all up with some sparkly twine.
I am seriously in love with these notecards.  I think everyone I know needs a set.  I think we need to go back to sending actually notes instead of emails.  Who doesn't love getting a great card in the mail?

Hi everyone!  I've been busy and haven't posted in a bit, but the good news is my house finally sold in Georgia!  So Yay for that and Yay for only having to pay rent at one place now!  I hope everyone else is having a great week!

So if you don't know this week marks CASE Study's one year anniversary!  How awesome is that?  Congrats to them!  Plus they are having a blog hop with lots of goodies so if you haven't checked it out, stop on by!

CASE Study Anniversary Blog Hop

So for the challenge this week (CSC51) you were supposed to pick your inspiration from one of the team members.  I decided to pick a card from Chupa and you can check out her blog here. The card I picked to CASE is just beautiful!  So here is the card I used for inspiration:

So for my card, I used the We R Memory Keepers Fiesta line.  I have been wanting to use this for a while.  The colors are so bright and the images are super fun.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder on the yellow patterned paper and then sanded it down.  I love the effect it had!  A simple sentiment stamp at the bottom and a few little gems at the top finish off the card.  Isn't that Chihuahua adorable?  I just love it!

I also adorned the inside of the card with a few gems and the little Hola sentiment from the papers.  I'll be making more cards with this line soon.  I think it's so fun and cheery, it's sure to make someone's day when they receive a card made with these papers.

I also have one other project to share today.  I have been working my way through a vacation album for a trip to Maine we took in 2009.  I know, I am so behind!  Anyway, I had this little bag of sea glass and stuff I had collected up there.  Well I found the Tim Holtz Pocket Watch at Michael's and just knew it would be a great way to show off some of that sea glass!

This was so easy and only took a few minutes to do.  Plus the back snaps on and off so you could easily open it up and switch out what you have in there.  I did put a little circle of patterned paper in the back just in case there was some room where the glass was sliding around so that you don't see just the metal.  I had a long chain in my jewelry box that I slipped this onto and you're ready to wear!

So that's it for today.  Until next time, Happy Scrappin!
